The congregation has been active by Pöide St. Mary’s Church since the 13th century. There was a break from 1948, when the activity was banned by the Soviet occupants until the beginning of the 1990s, when it was restarted. The congregation is small but active; about twenty other people also participate in the activities. Veiko Vihuri is the minister and the elder of the congregation is Argo Püssim.

The daily life of the congregation is reflected in Facebook. Services take place twice a month: at 13.30 on Sundays. In winter there are usually no services in the church, they are conducted on the premises of the pastorate.
